I won’t pretend that I’m a synthesizer expert. I never owned a real one, I don’t know anybody who does and I’m mostly a software person anyway, to be honest. And I only know very few of the classic ones by name or would be able to recognize them by sound.

However, I do know for sure that the Fairlight CMI was revolutionary and damn cool. So is Herbie Hancock. And Sesame Street!
